The surface of the moon – as photographed today in the afternoon with a new lens which I recently bought on ebay and just received two days ago: an MTO-11CA from the russian manufacturer LZOS (built somewhen around 1992). This mirror lens has a focal length of 1m (!) and for this image I used an additional 2x teleconverter on my OM-D E-M5II to see how close I can get. In order to reduce the atmospheric […]
Shot with my E-M5II and 12mm lens on the way from Vienna to Amsterdam.
As a small recap for 2017, I want to share some highlights from my summer vacation in Denmark which I missed to blog previously. I visited Gilleleje, a beautiful small town in the Hovedstaden region. Here I experienced one of the most impressive sunrises I have seen so far (as a reward after having a quite sleepless night). The image above is a 15 sec. exposure including a cruise-ship passing in the background shortly after […]
… and another shot from my last series.
I planned to watch this year’s Perseid meteor shower at a mountain cabin (‘Mödlingerhütte’), at an altitude of 1523m. Unfortunately the sky was quite overcast and only a part of the southern night sky was clear for viewing the stars. Nevertheless, I enjoyed being outside at night and tried to capture a few interesting shots. Equipment used: E-M5II & 12mm f2.0 lens.
Planes flying low over the city of Innsbruck, Austria. Shot with my E-M5II & 25mm f1.8 lens.
I had the chance to watch the summer training of Austria’s ski jumpers at the Bergisel ski jumping hill. As you can see the athletes have an impressive view over the city of Innsbruck before they speed down the hill. The images were again taken with my E-M5II & 25mm f1.8 lens.
