During a walk on the last day of 2017, I came through this dark and gloomy forest patch with a few spots of light shining through to the ground. Fortunately I had my camera with me.. So, finally after a long break without finding much free time for photography, I want to start the new year with this post and plan to update this blog regularly again. Let me wish you all a good start into […]
I took this series of images two weeks ago near Attersee lake. Parts of the forest are completely covered with wild garlic in spring, giving a quite uncommon look. I used my E-M5 and 45mm f1.8 lens.
This is a macro image of a piece of cardboard, illuminated by a single external flash. I tried to create an illusion of an outer space scene with a very minimalistic setup. This image is also part of our monthly photo-challenge with the topic ‘red’.
This weekend I tried to improve in low-key photography. I had a tulip and a black sweater available and quickly put together an improvised setup. For this series I used the E-M5 kit-lens in macro mode and a single external flash for illumination. Contrast and saturation have been adjusted in Lightroom.
I recently visited Taiwan and had the chance to go for a photo-walk in and around Taipei 101 where I searched for unusual perspectives. These are some of the images I found most interesting, all incorporating shadows and reflections.
